It has been years that I am thinking about starting a blog
and doodling and scribbling on to it rather than a diary. Being a very lazy and
slow person and my studies made me wait this long and the BLOG idea got
forgotten. Years ago when I was in school, one of my friends asked me how to
make paper bags. I googled it and that led me to a beautiful blog.
The blog fascinated me and I began going through it
frequently. It was Mai’s blog-mairuru. You can go through it if you want-http://mairuru.blogspot.in/. I don’t
know why I liked the blog when I hadn’t even realized my love for fabrics and
handmade crafts.2 days ago when I was going through my Facebook updates, I saw
one of my friends has started a blog. I just went through and reached Blogger.
The idea of starting my blog flashed through my mind all of a sudden. It meant
that I could satisfy my craving for writing something which I used to feel
recently. I used to write poems from my fourth standard in school but stopped
writing before I reached ninth standard. I didn’t stop writing completely but
yes I stopped publishing those in magazines and participating in literary
competitions.
The craving to write kept me scribble something on to
notepads, diaries and even sticky notes…J
So, my blog was born 2 days before on June 1.I am a fashion
student in Mumbai who recently realized that I can stick to this career itself.
During my 2nd year of studies, I thought I am an useless girlie who
joined the college just for the sake of it and will end up following my other
passions-say literature, photography, graphic designing, exploring places, embroidery
and textile development and so on. But the internship period made me understand
I love doing design concept development, garment designing and even
merchandising.
My studies only keep me busy along with reading, listening
to any kind of music, cooking and doing household work (quest for being
independent).Well, I am writing all these sitting in a cubicle in the company I
am interning. So I suppose I should put the full stop in my second post. See
you soon…
